As the album release date gets closer and closer upon us, acclaimed hip hop R&B artist The Weeknd has just announced his upcoming 2017 World Tour. The Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour will span over five months and hit cities all over the world, beginning in Europe and ending in the United States. The tour will be promoting his upcoming album Starboy, set to be released on Nov. 25. With the new album has come the Weeknd’s new look as he cut off his signature hairstyle, possibly signifying change in what we’ve been used to with the artist. In The Weeknd’s new music video for the hit single “Starboy,” ft. Daft Punk, he symbolically represents this change by murdering the “old him” and destroying past music awards–possibly signifying a new era for the King of the Fall. Either way, fans couldn’t be more excited for his third studio album since the last album he dropped in 2015 that received Grammy and AMA awards. He has also been nominated for the Juno Awards alongside Drake and Adele.
In the meantime, make sure to listen to the music the Weeknd has recently dropped. Not only has he released “Starboy” and “False Alarm” from the upcoming album but he has recently released new music with Future and Jeremih.
UPDATE 2/24: The Weeknd announced Rae Sremmurd will be his supporting act for the North American leg of the tour.
