Metal icons Metallica have released a new song “Atlas, Rise” from their upcoming album Hardwired…To Self Destruct, set to be out on Nov. 18. The six and a half minute track boasts a sound that fans have come to love about Metallica, beginning with a minute of pure instrumental before the lead vocalist James Hetfield begins to jam out.

Metallica posted a video on their main YouTube channel of them performing the song in an intimate space decked out in Band Merch which seems to be their personal studio. The video has already gotten over 500,000 views in less than a day, as it was uploaded earlier this morning. Since finishing the album, the band has graced fans with special behind the scenes footage from the making of Hardwired…To Self Destruct that you have to make sure you check out. The band has also released for another track “Moth Into Flame,” from the upcoming album which you can watch here.

The band has recently performed at the Bridge School Benefit alongside Neil Young where they performed cover of “Mr. Soul” by Buffalo Springfield. If you missed them at the Benefit, you can catch a live performance of the band when they go on tour in Winter 2017. They will also be headlining at Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brasil in 2017.
