Instrumental rock band Funeralizer has released their self-titled debut LP via Crayo KC. The Austin band’s hard-rocking debut features an eclectic array of guitar rock that meant to be played at punishingly loud volumes. The band includes members Trivett Wingo (ex-Swords) on the drums, David DiDonato (Ultimate Dragons) on guitar and Clarke Wilson (Bangaar, Those Peabodys) on bass.

The first single from the album is “Koo Stark’s Big Break (Pt. III)” Despite the fact that none of the songs clock in at more than two minutes, taken as a whole Funeralizer has an ambitious, epic quality. From the album opener “Single Entendre (The Cigar Song)” to the closing moments of the appropriately titled “Game Over Man, Gave Over,” the songs twist and turn through a variety of passages, textures and emotions, making the album an intriguing but ultimately quick listen.

Wingo had this to say about the new album:
“The idea behind Funeralizer is that everything is super concentrated. No fluff,” comments drummer Trivett Wingo. “It seems like the best parts of most songs can be summed up in about a minute and a half. The goal is to keep things dense. Boredom is the enemy.”
The album art for Funeralizer was created by Joby Ford, the guitarist for The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx.
