Under the Radar Announces Protest Sign Auction for American Cancer Society with Art from Amanda Palmer, Thurston Moore, Sharon Jones and More

This week Under the Radar is hosting an auction of autographed protest signs in support of the American Cancer Society, which features over 50 signs from big bands such as Tegan and Sara, OK Go, Perfect Pussy, and Yuck. 100% of the funds raised by the auction as part of their Protest Issue will go to the charity that funds lifesaving cancer research, patient support, and programs for early detection and prevention.

Every artist involved designed their own sign in support (or opposition) of a cause of their choice, ranging from the presidential election, gender equality, gun control, police brutality, and various forms of the perpetuation of violence and racism that seem so prominent in our society today. Their artistic designs are completely independent from each other, and the cause being a personal choice of the artist themselves,

The auction began October 18th at 2pm ET, and can be found on Under the Radar’s eBay page.

Readers of Under the Radar are encouraged to create and post their own signs via social media with the hashtag #ProtestIssue.
