According to CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND, coming off of their visually stimulating recently released video where they make use of animation but also add to the video by including more people than just the group members. Empire of the Sun, has released a new video for their song “Way to Go”.
At first glance, the video appears to be a still image with just audio playing behind the image. But different parts of the image are animated. The eyes of the group members are blinking along with what looks like a circle radiating with light pulsing along with the song.
The rest of the image in the background is a jungle paradise with the ocean right behind. Sitting on top of the paradise is the sun setting while two black and white spotted giraffes stare into the sky. Nature is the theme of this video. As can be seen from the animated flock of birds that appear from behind tall trees. The Empire of the Sun group members stand in the center of nature packed image dressed clothing that you would see in a brought to life comic book film or Angelina Jolie’s role in Magnificent.
This video is similar to what you will see on their website from the colors and the jungle as mentioned in their press release. The duo recently took it upon themselves to give preview of their album on the patio of Capitol Records by performing a 30 minute set where some of their songs were heard for the first time by the public.
On October 28th, the duo will return with the new album Two Vines via Astralwerks, which will mark their third album to date.
