Kanye West Confirms Falling Out With Jay-Z, Claims There Will Never Be A Watch The Throne 2

In dramatic, Yeezy fashion, Kanye West spoke out concerning his apparent fallout with rap icon Jay Z.

On Wednesday night in Seattle, Kanye interrupted his own concert three separate times to comment on the strained relationship. The first was in the middle of “Pop Style,” a song originally planned as a Kanye, Drake and Jay Z collaboration. According to Kanye, the plan didn’t unfold as intended because “of some TIDAL-Apple bullshit.”

Kanye told the crowd how the song originally came together. “I start freestyling to it. Jay thought of a couple lines … I said, ‘Man go ahead and throw it on there. [Drake] will be so surprised, he probably wasn’t expecting you to be on there.’ We sent it back to him and he said, ‘Oh shit, the Throne is on this shit.’”

He went on to explain the politics behind the scenes, and how the bottom fell out on the track. Drake is a longtime rival of Meek Mill, who is signed by Jay Z. So allegedly, Jay Z, “out of respect for Meek Mill” according to Kanye, “didn’t want to be on the track, but then out of that paranoia, it went into TIDAL, some political shit, some shit about percentages on songs.”

Kanye also expressed frustration towards Jay Z for not adequately reaching out to him after Kim Kardashian’s robbing and kidnapping earlier this month.

“Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house.”

He added that we should never expect a “Watch the Throne 2.”
