Depeche Mode Announce New Album Spirit and Summer 2017 Global Spirit Tour

Depeche Mode announced the release of their new album Spirit in Spring 2017. Following the release of the album, the group will start a 32 date European Global Spirit Tour beginning May 5th in Stockholm, Sweden and ends July 23rd in Cluj, Romania. After the European tour dates, the Global Spirit Tour will continue to North and South America.

For this album, they worked with a new team in which Spirit was produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. The release will be through Columbia Record. On the Global Spirit tour, the proceeds from the tour will raise money for charity:water.  The band will continue the charity partnership with the Swiss watch maker Hublot by raising awareness toward their mission of providing clean safe water to everyone on the planet.

UPDATE (2/28): According to Brooklyn Vegan, Depeche Mode have added a substantial run of shows in the United States and Canada in support of their new album Spirit. The Global Spirit Tour will continue through October of 2017.
