MØ, also known as Karen Marie Orsted, has recently released a new song called Drum. This song will feature in her upcoming album.
The song was co-written by Charli XCX and Noonie Bao and produced by BloodPop and features electro-pop percussion beat backed up with a with a harmony. According to Consequence of Sound, the song was heard for the first time through BBC Radio 1.
This song is mainly about getting away from certain relationships that hold a person back. The song can be listened to below.
According to EDM Chicago, the artist had this to say the following:
“Whether it’s an old friend, a lover, a lifetime partner or even yourself, it’s about letting go in order to pursue your dreams, for better or worse. Sometimes we have to accept that we might not have a plan, but that we have to figure out our own shit – take the punches and get stronger – and the same goes for those we care about”.
