On September 30th, 2016, Solange Knowles released her new album A Seat at the Table via Saint Records/Columbia. The album was written and performed by Solange Knowles and co-executive produced alongside Raphael Saadiq. Currently the album is sitting at #1 on iTunes US Overall Chart and #1 iTunes R&B/Soul genre charts.  The pre-order for the physical album is available now and will be released November 18. It is currently only available digitally. This album as Solange states is “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief, and healing.”

Just a couple days after her album launch, she released two new visuals to accompany the album. “Cranes in the Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” were both directed by Solange Knowles and her husband , Alan Ferguson and produced by Eli Cane.  These videos are definitely the perfect videos for these poetic soft songs. The interpretive dances and abstract nature provide a whole other meaning to the song.
