Evanescence lead vocalist, Amy Lee, has been active outside of her famed band as of recent. Releasing new album and her first album that is for children, Lee has released Dream Too Much. In this, the song “If You’re a Star” and it’s new video have been issued.

The song has great resemblance to Lee’s Evanescence persona, with her classic captivating vocals. The song illustrates the journey of a star, bewildering and entertaining throughout. A string section and piano compliment Lee’s words in “If You’re a Star.” The video conveys a relatable visual piece for children with art and origami, depicting the subject of the song and correlating with the chilling voice of Lee. As Lee describes in song what is happening, the visual elements of the video portray her imagery in perfect timing. Outer space and the earth are both displayed and smiling stars float around everywhere. “Making all the trees glow” and “exploding in a rainbow,” the stars are represented within an Ora of magic and captivating to the curious amazement of children.

The album, Dream Too Much, and the song, “If You’re a Star,” came out late September. The work by Lee features famous children song and her own original songs. Watch the video of “If You’re a Star” below…
