Weezer has performed at Aragon a fair share of times, but never with this diverse of a lineup. Joining the iconic 90s rock band will be the atmospheric duo Phantogram and former Jack’s Mannequin frontman, Andrew McMahon. Even if you don’t know Weezer, you know Weezer. “Beverly Hills” was definitely played at least five times a day at one point in the early 2000s on almost every single relevant radio station.
With about ten albums under the belt, Weezer are far from amateurs. With clever lyrics and irresistible riffs, they are a staple in so many people’s musical taste. Not to mention, they never disappoint in a live setting. As for Phantogram, you can hear the echoing influence of artists like David Bowie in their dreamy yet catchy music.
Andrew McMahon has proved time and time again that he can make amazing music whether in a band or solo project. The new identity that he created for his project (in the Wilderness) is an introspective and lyrically amazing look at himself and his life. Missing these three acts would be a mistake, not to mention Aragon Ballroom is always a good time.
