LISTEN: Korn Releases New Song “A Different World” Featuring Corey Taylor

Korn has recently released a new song, featuring Corey Taylor from Slipknot, called  “A Different World”. This song will be the third song on the new album called The Serenity of Suffering, which will be available October 21, 2016.

The song was produced by Nick Rasuklinecz, who has also worked with Foo Fighters, Deftones and Mastodon, and adds onto the album’s theme of self-reflection and expression.

According to BlabberMouth, the singer of Korn, Jonathan Davis, shared the following about the collaboration with Corey:
“We were trying to figure out who we wanted to collaborate with, and I’m like, ‘You know, that’s the one, that’s the guy,'” he said. “And I texted him, I’m like, ‘Do you want to be on a new KORN track?’ He’s all, ‘Hell yeah! When and where, what do I do?’ So he did great on the song. I already did my parts, I’m like, ‘Do what you do, man.’ And I like the way he did it, the approach: he starts creeping in underneath the song, you can start slowly hearing his voice under mine, and it crescendos up into the middle part where he sings, and then it’s just full-on at the end, so the song came out great.”

The song contains begins with an electronic sound then proceeds with a mix of drums and electronic guitar with a range of heavy and light pressures on the instruments. The song can be heard below. The band has also released a new music video for this song. This music video is also shown below.

The band has recently announced their plans to perform at Sirius XM, which will take place at the Theater Ace Hotel on October 21st.
