Tanya Donelly shared her cover of “Between The Bars” with us from her upcoming album Say Yes! A Tribute to Elliot Smith.” The album will be coming out October 14th on CD, LP, and Cassette.
Opening with a strumming guitar, Tanya sings and a beautiful echo follows. Definitely a nice cover of Elliot Smith bringing her own flavor to the mix. The acoustic guitar sounds so lovely as she sings.
Back in 2003, the Los Angeles native Elliot Smith died from suicide and left the indie world. He was known as one of the greatest contributors to the indie community. In memory of the tragic death of Elliot Smith, Tanya is paying tribute to his memory by covering some of his greatest songs. She does the him justice in this cover most definitely.
