WATCH: John Carpenter Shares New Video For “Utopian Facade”

The talented John Carpenter has just shared another creation from his imaginative mind, video for “Utopian Facade,” and just in time for the season of scares. The video is for a song from his recent album Lost Themes II and tells the story of a cyborg/android woman running through a woodsy area where she has an unfortunate run in with swamp zombies. Carpenter along with directors Gavin Hignight and Ben Verhulst put together an out of this world video that matches the song’s spacey sound. The “Utopian Facade” music video has already racked up over 15,000 views in just one day. Watch the video below to capture the spookiness, if you dare.

The album was released in April this year, and performed live shows for the firs time ever in honor of the release.

Starting in October you can catch the colorful personality on tour beginning on Oct. 20 in Brighton UK, and ending in Houston, TX to perform at the Day for Night Festival. John Carpenter also played at the Primavera Festival in Barcelona, Spain in June, where several of the major performances over the weekend were streamed.

McKenzie Dillon: University of Nevada, Reno Alumna. I graduated with a major in writing and a minor in journalism. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music of course. I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
