LISTEN: Beck Releases New Song “Up All Night”

The Grammy winning multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Beck has released his second single called “Up All Night, “from his currently nameless upcoming album. The song boasts more pop-funk sound than the tracks on his his previous work Morning Phase, which was a highly acclaimed folk rock album. “Up All Night,” and a previously released single “WOW,” both point to a more mainstream sounding album fit for the radio. For all you Beck fans who moonlight as gamers, the song will even be featured on the upcoming FIFA ’17 video game. Click below to listen to the whole track.

Beck also experimented with the pop genre when Lady Gaga announced he would be featured on her latest LP, Joanne– out in October.

Originally, Beck’s album was set to be released in October as well, however the New York Times has reported the date was pushed back to November, so the world will have to wait for another Beck masterpiece.

Nobody could forget when Beck won several Grammy’s for his most recent album Morning Phase, including Best Rock Album and Album of the Year. Maybe just as memorable, was when Kanye West rushed the stage again following the announcement when he disagreed with the results. Beck was gracious and accepted the award with class, ignoring Kanye’s disrespectful tactics.

Regardless, fans are excited to see what Beck has in store with the upcoming album and in the meantime you can catch the superstar on tour this Fall— and Kanye won’t be around to steal the mic.
