In March of this year, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Intentions announced their plans for a new album. Now, we know more details including and a set release date. Until The Hunter will come out on November 4. It’s the first studio album the group has released since 2009’s Through The Devil Softly.
The 11 track album includes two singles released earlier this year: “Isn’t It True” and “She’s in the Wall.” In addition, Kurt Vile (of Kurt Vile & The Violators) is featured on the single “Let Me Get There,” which is already out for your listening pleasure.
Kurt Vile said this about the collaboration:
“It was a total honor to sing along to a beautifully hypnotic soul groove with heavyweights like Hope, Colm, and all the other top notch musos. To respond to Hope’s call in song of letting her get there felt right and real and gave me chills while singing, even though I knew they already got there years before I walked in the building.”
Hope Sandoval (of Mazzy Star) and Colm Ó Cíosóig (of My Bloody Valentine) teamed up to form the duo pop group Hope Sandoval & the Warm Intentions back in 2000. Until The Hunter will be their third studio album.
