Blinded by summer, the group is blindfolded in each scene by a fabric piece or an illusive mask. The guitar plays so in sync with the flowing movements of the band with an edgy energy. Summer definitely stole the “perfume” from their eyes. The spunk of the members eludes from the video with a catchy clap along chorus encompassing the definition of garage punk rock.
The punk rock group from Atlanta known as The Coathangers started up back in 2006 with high ambitions set for the group to go beyond just playing shows for friends. Now they have ascended beyond that and have made a real name for themselves. the group consists of guitarist/vocalist Julia Kugel, bass/vocals Meredith Frank, and drums/vocals Stephanie Luke. After ten years the group is still going strong and have expanded their sound with a touch of hip-shakin’ classic rock, soulful country ballads, and golden oldies pop. They brought their “A” game with their new album Nosebleed Weekend that kicks off with the song “Perfume.”
