The indie rock band from Los Angeles Warpaint released a new single “Whiteout” from the upcoming album Heads Up that’s to be released in a measly four days.

The song is the second track to be released from the album following “New Song” which was released in August. “Whiteout” already has more than 40,000 views on YouTube in less than 24 hours since being published. It starts off with a simple beat, then an airy guitar riff begins alongside a steady drum cymbal. It seems to be about longing for familiar love, as the lyrics go:

You know what I want
To know the secrets in your heart
And now I keep it low
There’s just some things I don’t need to know

Don’t go tonight
Don’t go tonight

Their first single received critical acclaim, where Noisy said “As ever their harmonies are goosebump-inducing, the bass provides the funked up backbone, and Emily and Theresa’s interlocking guitars dance together in delicious synchronicity.”

Fans caught a glimpse of the powerhouse girl-band live at The Green Man Festival in August, and can still catch them at the Music Tastes Good Festival on Sept. 23-25 in Long Beach.

Warpaint is currently amidst their 2016 World Tour, and you can see dates and details here.
