LISTEN: Eisley Releases First New Song in Three Years “Defeatist”

Eisley, a Texas based indie pop band, has released their first new song in over three years. The song was released through Equal Vision Records and will be part of their upcoming fifth LP.

Acccording to Sherri DuPree-Bemis, the vocalist and guitarist for the band, “‘Defeatist’ is about fighting for something or someone you love with passion and devotion, no matter the cost.” She adds “When you know someone is worth fighting for, you fight ’til the death. It’s about belonging to something bigger than yourself and not letting your own insecurities trip you up from having everything that you want.”

The song has a melodic, moody pop tune that matches to the songs that the band has wrote in previous years. The song fills with repetitive drums through out the song with a bit of heavy drums at the end, while the vocalist and guitarists perform through the song in a light tone.
