DJ Shadow Announces Six LP Endtroducing… Reissue Endtrospective… For October 2016 Release

One of the remixes form the long-awaited 20th anniversary reissue of DJ Shadow’s seminal debut album Endtroducing… has leaked today, and it eludes to the Christ-like revival of the already godly album.

The re-release is scheduled to drop fully on October 28th, and has been said to contain various remixes by artists like Hudson Mohawke, Prince Paul, Adrian Younge, Salva, and Teklife. In addition to these remixes the album features live versions, rareties, and an interview between DJ Shadow and Eliot Wilder.

Clams Casino took on the role as pioneer of remixes to come on this album, as they released their rendition of “Stem Long Stem” yesterday, which sounds as if it was abducted by some dark and demented species of aliens who worship bass-heavy beats.

The original album, which has released in 1996, sets the bar in the clouds for its forthcoming offspring. It was incredibly well received by critics and hip-hop fans globally, appearing on various best album and Top 10 lists including those of The Face, Los Angeles Times, NME, Mojo, and Vox. Robert Christgau named it album of the year, and Alternative Press called it “an undeniable hip-hop masterpiece”. We can only hope that the creative genius himself and all those associated with the remix of the album have done something revolutionary with the album, which was originally composed almost entirely of samples.
