After leaving Rage Against The Machine back in 2000, Zack de la Rocha was said to be working on a solo project with acts like Trent Reznor, DJ Shadow, The Roots Questlove and Run The Jewels. Unfortunately since then for the past 15 years we have seen no sign of an album to be released.
His solo record with some hit list artists created quite the buzz, but unfortunately only a few tracks from the album have surfaced making us wonder when will we hear this solo album from de la Rocha. Back in 2004, the single “We Want It All” popped up when de la Rocha worked with Reznor on the track which appeared on the compilation album Songs and Artists That Inspired Fahrenheit 9/11.
Up until now we have not heard any new material from the artists or any information about an upcoming album until El-P took to this twitter to reassure us that there will in fact be a new album released in 2017 from de la Rocha. In support of this announcement, Zack de la Rocha releases a new song “Digging For Windows.” This is the first music we have heard since 2004.
