Today marks the start of Angel Olsen’s 2016/2017 tour. Tonight she is in Philadelphia at Union Transfer. The artist announced new North American dates for February. The tour now includes stops in New Orleans, Austin, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The tour continues throughout the fall and finishes up on February 18th in Seattle.

Olsen is on tour in support of her album My WomanThe album, Olsen’s third studio release, came out recently on September 2nd via Jagjaguwar. It was composed as a proper A-side and B-side. The more upbeat tracks, including previously released “Shut Up Kiss Me”, are upfront while the lengthier and more reflective tunes come towards the end.

Earlier this summer Olsen released videos for “Shut Up Kiss Me” and “Sister“. Olsen directed “Shut Up Kiss Me” herself and co-directed “Sister” with Conor Hagen. She also appeared in folk rocker Cass McComb’s video for “Opposite Star“.
