For four years, The Men consistently released new music and new sounds to its fanbase. From 2011-2014, they unveiled four albums with four different overall themes. From loud to calm and from rock n’ roll to laid back roots, The Men have been hardworking band that have proven versatile in their approach. Therefore, after a year gap, a new album seems appropriate to be released November 11th. In fact, they are releasing the new album, Devil Music through their own means, meaning their own label We Are Men.
An initial single entitled “Lion’s Den” has recently been released and has been setting the tone for the upcoming album. Devil Music seemingly appears to be formulated with the sounds of experimental music, classic saxophone, and full-on rock, if it were to only based on the single “Lion’s Den.” Originally, as band member Nick Chiericozzi explains, the song held a steady beat with an acoustic guitar that turned into a slow vocal melody with classic guitar riffs. Yet, with reflection, “Lion’s Den” felt incomplete to the band and a the song altered. A faster beat was rearranged and Chiericozzo added a saxophone element.
