LISTEN: The Devil Makes Three Releases New Song “Waiting Around To Die” Featuring Emmylou Harris

Today, The Devil Makes Three released a new track off of their upcoming album Redemption & Ruin set for release on September 16th via New West Records. The new song, “Waiting Around to Die” features Emmylou Harris and is a cover of Townes Van Zandt’s original. Rolling Stone Country called it “a haunting, harmonica-fueled take on the Townes Van Zandt original.”

The album is a concept album made up of 12 hand picked songs that have inspired the group throughout the years. Besides Emmylou Harris, the album also guest stars Tim O’Brien, Jerry Douglas, Darrell Scott and Duane Eddy. Earlier this month the band released the video for their cover of Muddy Water’s “Champagne and Reefer” which is also off of Redemption & Ruin.
