Investigator Theorizes Massive Attack Member Robert Del Naja Is Banksy

If you have seen the graffiti art of the baseball player throwing a bouquet of flowers, then you probably know about the artist Bansky.  Many have hunted for the true identity of Bansky, but today we may have some answers.  After an investigator spent 5 months researching Bansky’s artwork, it is presumed that a member of Massive Attack, Robert Del Naja, has been named as the Bansky artist.  The founder of the Bristol band is being accused of being the guerrilla graffiti star because his artwork keeps appearing near their shows.

In 2008 the former public schoolboy Robin Gunningham was named as Bansky, but now investigative journalist Craig Williams claims that artist could be Robert Del Naja or perhaps a team of people and artists that are led by him.

Mr Williams has plotted Bansky murals around the world and compared them to Massive Attack gigs and found that at least six occasions more than a dozen appeared shortly or after Massive Attack shows in the same cities over the past 12 years.  Del Naja has admitted that he was a graffiti artist in the 1980s and that he is friends with Bansky.

Massive Attack is known for their famous songs, ‘Tear Drop” and “Unfinished Sympathy.” There are more than 6 significant occasions in which the art was placed on the same day as a Massive Attack concert/tour.  One example is October 32013 the artwork of the Robot with Barcode was seen in New York during the exact time of Massive Attacks New York tour.  It can also be seen that Massive Attack tours are either just starting or just ending that these Bansky artworks appear in different cities.

Of course there are some days that do not correlate or months at a time that the band is not touring.  Some days there seems to be two or three that pop up in a city.  This is why it is suggested that Robert Del Naja is leading a group of artists to accomplish all of these artworks.  As the pieces are coming together, it will be interesting to see if Bansky’s artwork will magically appear after they end their tour tomorrow night at Clifton Down in Bristol, England
