Wilco have just shared their new single “Someone to Lose”. The song is off their upcoming album Schmilco set for release on September 9th. Previously released songs “Locator” and “If I Ever Was Child” will also be on the group’s 10th studio album. Schmilco is the follow up to 2015’s surprise LP Star Wars. Of Schmilco, frontman Jeff Tweedy said
“I think this record is joyously negative. It’s sad in a lot of ways but not in any that reach a conclusion of doom or hopelessness. I just had a lot of fun being sour about the things that upset me.”
“I Heart Schmilco” listening parties will be taking place in record stores all across the U.S on September 6th. Fans will be able to listen to the album three days before the release and at participating stores can pick up a copy on vinyl.
The band is currently on tour in the U.S through September. The shows come to a close on November 19 in London.
