American singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata has releases a new music video for the song “Over”. This song is a part of the upcoming fourth album Tightrope Walker, which is due on September 23, 2016 through Frankenfish Records/Thirty Tigers record label.

Directed by Laura Crosta and shot around Rachael’s hometown in Woodstock, New York, the song and the music video circles around the themes of letting go and moving on. To show this theme, the artist uses repetition with the lyric “You went one way I went the other”.

The song starts out a solo upbeat drum beat following a mix of light piano beats. Throughout the music video, the camera shots from the artist performing the song at home, while including scenes of the nature around her home. There are also scenes of burning letters and other objects, which could be showing the action of getting rid of the old memories from the relationship. As the song progresses, the audience can see that the artist smiles more and when the end of the song comes, Rachael shows her relief. The message this album brings contributes to the newfound optimism the fourth album will bring.

With the release of previous album, Rachael has been touring in the U.S only. But with the release of this new album, Rachael will have tour dates in cities like Toronto and Vancouver.
