Cult Records is excited to announce that The Growlers are officially releasing their new album City Club on that comes out September 30. This album was produced by Julian Casablancas from The Strokes and the founder of Cult Records along with Shawn Everett known as this years Grammy Award winner for his work with Alabama Shakes. The album was recorded earlier this year at Everett’s studio in Los Angeles, servicing as the inspiration for the album art. From a grueling touring schedule and their work ethic, the band is an independent success story. City Club serves as an eclectic piece of work with a swirl of reggae, punk, ragged country, psychedelia, and synthesizers.
The album’s title track “City Club” premiered last night on Sirius XMU on Casablanca’s new radio show, Culture Void. After the release of their new album The Growlers are heading back out on the road this fall with shows in North America, Mexico, and Europe. This tour will be a 20 date US trek that concludes at home to headline their 5th Annual Beach Goth Festival on October 22 and 23 in Orange County, California.
