There has been speculation recently concerning a collaboration between The Weeknd and Daft Punk. Last month at a Billboard “Hitmaker’s Roundtable”, an executive from Republic Records (The Weeknd’s label) confirmed the rumors. Wendy Goldstein, Executive VP and head of urban A&R, was asked a question about who she would like to work with. She responded

“Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days with the Weeknd and Daft Punk, and I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan…This is the first time I’ve been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”

Goldstein wasn’t the only one to touch upon the collaboration. The Weeknd posted a photo to Facebook featuring Daft Punk action figures, which one can only assume means the collab is in the works. Check out the post below.

The Weeknd will also be performing at the Meadows Festival this October in New York alongside Kanye West Chance the Rapper.
