Letters to Cleo Announce New Album For Fall 2016 Release

Boston alternative-rock band Letters to Cleo has announced their first new album in seventeen years. The currently untitled album will be released September 30th through Pledge Music. The band’s infectious energy on their hit single “Here and Now” off of Aurora Gory Alice made them a staple of 90’s alternative rock. After the band broke up in 2000, its members went on to have fulfilling careers in musical production, studio recording, and touring. Speaking of this reunion, frontwoman Kay Hanley said,

“It’s a blast. I mean, we spent our formative years learning how to do this stuff together. When it was done, we went out and lived our lives and now everyone’s bringing their experiences back to this at a new level of musicianship, but writing with these guys still feels effortless.”

Hanley went on to describe that while the band’s new sound will feature the chemistry that made the band’s original hits great, they are not content with hanging back. Rather, they intend on moving forward.

“It feels completely unforced. It sounds like classic Cleo. But at the same time, there’s nothing nostalgic about it”
