The New York subway is, above all things, a constantly interesting place. When you concentrate that many people into such a cramped space you’re bound to stumble across every kind of person that’s out there. Commonly found among these people are the subway performers. These people will sing, dance, or otherwise draw attention to themselves through art, with highly varying degrees of quality. Sometimes however, a performer pops up who possesses so much raw talent that they can’t help but captivate those around them. Reporters at Loudwire discovered one such person.
Local NYC musician Ryan Albert performed a hauntingly beautiful version of Tool’s “The Pot”. His keyboard rendition offered a chilling, vulnerable contrast to the harsh anger of the original track. Albert’s versatile vocals both command the attention of those around him and display raw emotion. Never breaking a sweat, Albert flawlessly belted out the entire six and a half minute song, spilling his emotions to the dozens of strangers walking by.
