The singer-songwriter Jillian Banks, a.k.a. BANKS, released a video for her newest single “Gemini Feed” off her upcoming album, “The Altar” due out September 30. The video comes shortly after her other single “Fuck With Myself,” which she released earlier this summer.
The dark visuals accompany her alt-pop song beginning with a close-up of her jewel-covered eyes and an acoustic recording of the song.
BANKS tends to use her signature black winged eyeliner and slick hair in her videos. This one was no different, yet it still captivates no matter how predictable it may be. The dark tones cater to the sexual mood of the song and her bondage-like apparel matches the attachment her emotions have with the particular subject.
The video has a lot fluid movement, especially through the curves of her body, and it sets the tone of the song accordingly. “Gemini Feed” shows two different sides of her personality both being represented by the colors black and white and gives the audience a visual of what “Gemini Feed” represents to BANKS.
BANKS continues to provide her fans with pieces of the puzzle that make up her highly anticipated upcoming album, “The Altar,” and if what she’s delivered so far is just the beginning, then BANKS fans are in for another treat with her sophomore album.
