Carl Craig and Scuba @ Club Space 10/8

Carl Craig and Scuba are going to keep Club Space up all night on Saturday, October 8th. This show is starting at 11:00 pm and ending at 4:00 pm the next day. The question they are asking: Who Needs Sleep? Get ready to dance till you can’t anymore.

Both Carl Craig and Scuba are techno producers who have been around for many years. Carl Craig is from Detroit and has been DJing and making music since 1989. He created a record label called Planet E Communications. He likes doing anything related to music. His techno has influences from a range of genres including jazz and soul. His songs are different from a lot of techno because they are slower building and sometimes use more abstract sounds instead of a beat that is always going. Scuba is a British artist who has released 4 albums and two EP’s since 2008. His music is usually more upbeat than Carl Craig and it always keeps the beat going. Both of they’re styles should mesh together well when they DJ at club space. Take a listen to “A Wonderful Life” from Carl Craig, and “NE1BUTU” from Scuba below.

Club Space is a huge warehouse in Downtown that should be perfect for this show. This is for anyone who is a raver, anyone who just wants to start dancing and never stop. If you’re a fan of techno or just someone who wants to be out dancing while the sun goes up and starts going down, this is for you.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
