It doesn’t take a genius to notice that the era of rock ‘n’ roll didn’t extend its arm to include women, instead letting men dominate the scene. But now, in the year of 2016, it seems to be the era of badass chicks strapping on guitars and picking up the drumsticks to play alongside their male counterparts.
What I’m talking about is precisely Death Valley Girls. A dynamic, psychedelic, and innovative four piece borne in Echo Park. Their explosive music is complete with shrieks that are rife with emotion that is enough to rattle your bones. Fuzzy guitars and excess reverb produce a dystopian garage rock sound that is completely original to this group.
Each member does more than pull their weight, bringing each of their personalities into a vigorous and compelling live show. The Empty Bottle is the perfect intimate venue for you to be able to spazz out and dance to this dark take on rock and roll. The show is 21+ and tickets are $10.
