Norah Jones Announces New Album Day Breaks For October 2016 Release

Norah Jones, who recently played at the Newport Folk Festival, has announced a new album and tour.

Day Breaks is Norah’s sixth solo album and a kindred spirit to her breakout debut Come Away With Me. It finds her returning to the piano and her roots. The album features Blue Note luminaries including saxophonist Wayne Shorter, organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, and drummer Brian Blade on a 12-song set that presents 9 new originals alongside covers of songs by Horace Silver, Duke Ellington and Neil Young.

The album is out October 7 and is available for pre-order here. It will be featured on ITunes, Amazon and the her website also gives you the option to order the album and purchase a ticket to an upcoming show.

The first single, “Carry On”, is also available for streaming via Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and Amazon. A video for “Carry On” has been released via Youtube.

Norah will support the album with a tour. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, August 12 at 11 AM. The West Coast dates have Valerie June opening, but no opener has been announced for the East Coast shows.
