ZZ Top is coming to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on Tuesday, November 1st. This band has been at it for over 40 years and they’re still going. Over the years their blues inspired hard rock style has endured and sounds very unique compared to other bands that came and went in that time.
ZZ Top was formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas and they released their first album in 1971. The band is made up of three members that have been together for the entirety of their history: Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard. Although the band is famous for their trademark beards, their music is worthy of all of that popularity. With blues inspired groove’s and crazy growling guitars solos this band left its mark on the rock scene. Their 1981 album “Eliminator” proved to be their most successful album and has the hit “Gimme All Your Lovin'”. Their most famous song though must be “La Grange”, which you must have heard even if you didn’t know it was them.
The fact that ZZ Top has stayed together completely unchanged for all these years is a feat and if you like their music you should see them perform before it’s too late. Here’s to hoping they stay together and keep making music for years to come. Fans of hard rock or blues, this is for you.
