After having just wrapped up their co-headlining tour with Modest Mouse, Brand New has just announced another run of dates throughout Fall across the contiguous United States. This time, the critically and commercially adored alternative emo rock outfit is bringing along the “new school” of emo with The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball.
Starting in New York mid-October an ending in Pennsylvania mid-November, the bands will be traveling all the way to the West coast and back.
In July, Brand New released a trio of vinyl via their own label, Procrastinate! Music Traitors. Included in the releases are 2015’s lone single Mene which includes “Mene” and “Out of Range,” a 12″ of “I am Nightmare” (out digitally May 17, 2016 and named “Best New Track” by Pitchfork), and a 10” of 3 Demos, Reworked.
Brand New has not been without it’s own bit of controversy, with various t-shirts and lyric book inserts hinting that the band will be disbanding in 2018, to the dismay of many fans. However, nothing is truly confirmed at the moment.
