New York City’s very own, Luscious Jackson, has announced that they will be performing at The Bell House in Brooklyn for one night only this October 14th.
These veteran, female rockers announced their show in support of their latest record, Magic Hour, which came out back in 2013. Yes, the album did come out three years ago now; it’s better late than never, right? In case you have forgotten, the band only played two east coast shows during their 2013 tour in NYC and Philadelphia, so the announcement of their return to the Big Apple is something that die-hard fans have been waiting for. Check out the song, You And Me; that appeared on their latest record.
Formed in 1991, Luscious Jackson spent most of their early years on the Beastie Boys’ record label, Grand Royal, where they released a majority of their original material. It was also on Grand Royal where the group dished out their most successful album, Fever In Fever Out, which sold over 500,000 copies in its first year. Fever In Fever Out also featured the band’s song, Naked Eye, that took over the airwaves and soared to No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release. Check it out.
