The Mowgli’s, Colony House, DREAMERS @ Double Door 9/28

The typical size for a band in this day and age is about 4-5 members – but the Mowgli’s are anything but typical, especially with their 7 members. Their music is the perfect pick-me-up for rough days or the soundtrack to make a good day even better. With a chorus of light-hearted voices ringing out, it’s a nice break from the melodramatic and bitter songs circulating our world. Choose any of their music videos to watch and you will tap into the infectious happiness and excitement that they express wholeheartedly.

Another band on the bill, Colony House, foster the same great vibes as the Mowgli’s, but with a touch more guitar. Caleb Chapman belts out their meaningful lyrics with a constant, extremely contagious rhythm. For their short time in music, their sound reaches a level of sophisticated that a lot of rock bands never reach. They have achieved some critical praise, but just wait – you will hear amazing things from these guys.

Alt-rock trio DREAMERS rounds out this ticket of complementary bands. In every single song you can hear the passion that these three put into their music. If you mix 70s and 80s pop with current alternative and indie trends, you’ve got DREAMERS. Every hook is accessible without being a thoughtless, mainstream construction. Fresh off the stage at Lollapalooza, they clearly can’t get enough of Chicago because they already signed on to this show to come back to the Windy City!

This will be an insanely fun show for all ages and tickets are a flat fee of $20.
