When The Magnificent Coloring Tour was first announced, many were upset to find out that Chance the Rapper didn’t include a tour date for his hometown of Chicago. However, he just had a little surprise up his sleeve.
The insanely killer lineup has rap front-runners like Lil Wayne, 2Chainz, Tyler the Creator, Young Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert. To slow things down and put some soul into it, John Legend and Alicia Keys also made the list. And, to bring the dance crowd to U.S. Cellular Field, Chance added the infamous mainstream DJ, Skrillex.
U.S. Cellular Field is most often the venue of Chicago White Sox games and the very rare concert, but Chance has made it a point to make it the first music festival held at the field. This and the separate announcement for the Chicago date make a clear nod to his roots in the Southside. Tickets are currently on presale, but go live to the public on Friday, July 29th at 10:00 AM CDT. Ticket prices start at $35 and climb to $150 depending on where you want to sit and how much cash you’re willing to deal out.
