Sub Focus is coming to DJ at Heart Nightclub in Downtown on Thursday, September 1st. A music producer who likes to branch out, never sticking to any one style of EDM too closely, Sub Focus has graced clubs and festivals with some great music over the years since he has been active.
Sub Focus is an English DJ and music producer from Guildford who has been making music since 2002. He has made music in a variety of styles including: Drum and Bass, Dubstep and Electro House. He finally released his self titled debut album in 2009. He went on to release a second album, “Torus” in 2013 that was well received. It included the very popular track “Tidal Wave” featuring Alpines. I feel like for awhile I couldn’t turn on the TV or listen to the radio without hearing that song. Sub Focus does not only produce his own songs though, he has produced tracks for other artists as well including for the band Example. Sub Focus should provide a really great set at Heart in September. He has been innovating within drum and bass for awhile now and his influence can be felt in the whole genre. If you want to see one of the best artists making drum and bass in recent years, then this show should be for you.
