Since their inception in 1993, Korn has been widely known as one of metal’s seminal bands and they have gained a large following over the years.
The band’s discography stems over 11 studio albums with several more rock hard EPs and singles. Not one to miss opportunities, Korn are back for another album to be released later this year.
The new album entitled, The Serenity of Suffering, is expected to drop this fall on October 21, 2016. This will be the band’s first release since 2013 when they dropped their album The Paradigm Shift.
The band’s twelfth album will drop this fall, and it is expected to be a “classic Korn album.” As Head, the guitarist of Korn, mentioned in an interview with Billboard, this new album will be somewhat unique, “They excite people, but they piss off others because Korn is always trying something new.”
The new album, The Serenity of Suffering, is already available for pre-order. Exclusive bundles and more are also available, and can be found on Korn’s official merch website here.
In anticipation of this album, the band has released their first single and music video from the album. The single, “Rotting in Vain” is accompanied by a music video that sits at just over three and a half minutes long.
The video features the band as they play in an old and creepy Victorian era house. As the band thrashes along to the song, the camera follows them as well as zooms in on eerily beautiful objects littered around the house.
Take a look at the video below.
Korn was formed in Bakersfield, CA in 1993. The band has featured several different members along the years but its current lineup includes: Jonathan Davis, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, Brian “Head” Welch, and Ray Luzier.
