PHOTOS: Panorama Festival 2016 Day 1 – New York City

The inaugural day of New York City’s new music festival, Panorama Festival, started slowly but quickly picked up despite the 95 degree weather Friday at Randall’s Island Park. The night’s main acts were Alabama Shakes and Arcade Fire, who both performed on the main Panorama stage that Silversun Pickups and De Lux played early in the day. The two bands with the most members, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Broken Social Scene, both filled the smaller Pavilion stage, along with Here We Go Magic, Lindsey Stirling and ScHoolBoy Q. The air-conditioned Parlor tent was a nice break from the heat where festival goers could catch Lloydski, Madlib and Mike D.
