With their reggae groove and undeniable rhythm, Rebelution sounds exactly like where they come from: sunny Isla Vista, California. They are unmistakably the definition of a grass-roots band, forming from the bottom-up, playing countless local shows until they received much-deserved critical success. One of the many strengths of this band is that they are most comfortable playing onstage in front of their devoted fans.
If you can make it half-way through one of their songs without starting to groove along and dance, then you are an extremely rare breed. Eric Rachmany’s vocals pour a warm, enveloping embrace over the music, all the while putting a bit of distortion and edge on his guitar work.
