The Seattle supergroup Temple of the Dog has reunited to play five shows this fall.  The band will play in Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and finish the tour off in Seattle.  The tour comes during the 25th anniversary of the band’s first and only recorded album.  The record was released on April 16th, 1991 by A&M Records.

The group  is comprised of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready, and drummer Matt Cameron, who plays with both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.  Temple of the Dog was formed in 1990 after the death of Cornell’s friend and roommate Andrew Wood, who was also the frontman for Mother Love Bone.

In addition to the tour, UMe will release a special 25th Anniversary reissue collection of the album.  The collection will be available on a four disc Super Deluxe, a double LP, a two CD Deluxe, and a single CD.  The collection is now available for pre-order.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, July 29 at 12pm local time.  A special pre-sale is going on now for those who signed up for the Ten Club, Soundgarden, and Chris Cornell email lists.  The pre-sale ends July 27th.  $1.50 from each ticket will go towards the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation.  An additional $1.50 will benefit Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation.
