Taylor Swift Threatens Kanye West With Lawsuit Over Recorded Phone Conversation Without Her Knowledge

As the feud between pop-culture superstars Taylor Swift and Kanye West continues, T-Swift threatened to sue Kanye West over allegations that he recorded phone conversation between the two without her consent. This conversation was said to be about the infamous line in Kanye West’s song off his new album Life of Pablo, “Famous” in which he is quoted saying, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” “I made the B*** famous.” Kanye claimed to have talked to Taylor about the controversial lyric, and she approved of the line. However, Taylor swift says the opposite and denied ever having said phone conversation. Unfortunately for Taylor, Kim Kardashian West leaked footage that showed two discussing the line before Kanye dropped the album and included her approval.

TMZ reported to have obtained a legal document from Taylor Swift’s lawyer threatening Kanye West with prosecution for illegally recording their phone call. In the state of California, it is illegal to record a phone conversation without the other party’s knowledge. According to TMZ T-Swift has every right to sue the Wests, since it was clearly an invasion of privacy and against California State Laws.

In a June interview with GQ, Kim Kardashian attempted to defend the couple when she claimed that Taylor had sent a letter to them demanding that they never leak the footage of their conversation. An excerpt from the letter reads, ““Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated.”

In the same interview Kim claimed that Kanye West pays a videographer to film the moments in between making an album.

Just when fans thought the two buried the hatchet, their on-and-off-again relationship is back on bad terms. This has come just after Taylor Swift and Kanye made amends following the MTV Music Video Award’s where Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech to give praise to Beyonce. Kanye sent Taylor flowers and the two supposedly made up but it wasn’t much longer until Kanye’s mouth got him in more trouble with the pop star.

Now this may be a problem Kanye won’t be able to solve with flowers and an apology note. Unless the two hash it out, this issue may have to be settled in court. Stay tuned until the next Kanye Twitter rant to find out.
