Hinds releases new tour dates for 2016 with a new video for “Warts”.
Earlier this year, Hinds released their debut LP Leave Me Alone via Mom+Pop and Lucky Number. So far, fans have seen video’s for the albums other standout hits “Bamboo” and “Easy“, and just today the girls released a new video for “Warts” that takes a total 360 turnaround from the first two. The “Warts” video features the girls dressed in Japanese Kimonos while trying to help their friend out of his crazy relationship (to say the least). The video was filmed in Barcelona’s Walden7 building and was directed by Pedro Martin-Colero whose unique style is definitely prevalent in the video. In the video’s description, the band gives insight into what the inspiration was for the song writing, “have you ever seen a couple that shouldn’t be a couple? Have you ever seen your friend’s girlfriend’s warts before he does? In love like in war it aint no rules. And she knows. She knows it well… She is gonna beat him bad, but he only hears parabarabaraba”. Check the video out below.
The video came alongside the opportunity to see them live, as they announced both an overseas and North American Tour. The North American tour will start in Seattle at the Bumbershoot on August 9th (see full list below) via Stereogum.
