The Dillinger Escape Plan has just announced a short North American tour starting this August.  The tour will kick off on August 5th in Toronto and finish up on August 16th in Santa Ana.  Along the way they’ll be making stops in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and DC.  This tour will have an intimate feel as the group will be playing small venues and clubs in order to enhance the band’s live experience.  They were previously on tour in 2015 with Mutoid Man, Primitive Weapons, and Rosetta.

The tour follows the re-release of the group’s first three albums this past December.  Those albums are Calculating Infinity, Miss Machine, and Ire Works.  Their most recent album, One of Us is the Killer, was released in 2013.  Last summer the group claimed to be heading into the studio in November 2015 to begin working on an album that would be out in early 2016.

The band currently comprises of guitarists Ben Weinman and Kevin Antreassian, bassist Liam Wilson, vocalist Greg Puciato, and drummer Billy Rymer.  Weinman is the only original member still in the band.  He has performed with Nine Inch Nails and System of a Down and is currently writing music for Giraffe Tongue ORchestra.  Besides The Dillinger Escape Plan, frontman Greg Puciato is also currently member of The Black Queen and supergroup Killer be Killed.  Just last year he also made a guest appearance as a vocalist on the Lamb of God track “Torches”.
