It’s been almost two years since Crystal Castles’ singer Alice Glass unceremoniously left the electronic outfit due to “professional and personal” reasons. The band has been surrounded by no lack of discussion post-Alice though, due to the various public spats Ethan Kath had with the ex-member.
Crystal Castles had made a name for itself thanks to Alice’s frenzied, hardcore live performances, so it may be quite hard to imagine the band without her. However, Kath seems to be totally ready to move on with new member Edith Frances. Although Frances has absolutely no online footprint thus far (probably because Edith Frances is most likely not her real name), it only adds to the mysterious character of the band.
CC released their first song with Frances on board last April by the name of “Frail,” and last Thanksgiving they finally started performing live shows again.
Now that Edith seems to be fully acclimated to the band, evident in their new track “Concrete” and its music video, Castles announced world tour in support of its upcoming new album, Amnesty. Watch the music video and go through the tour dates below:
