Ghost @ The Fillmore Miami Beach 11/3

Ghost is bringing their demonic presence to The Fillmore Miami Beach on Thursday, November 3rd. Know for their eccentric and highly detailed stage presence and show, Ghost has been very dedicated to their craft over the past 10 years.

Ghost is a Swedish heavy metal band that was formed in 2010. The band is iconic for their costumes and their pledge to stay anonymous. The vocalist of the group is known as Papa Emeritus and is dresses in a reversed version of the Pope’s robes. The other members of the band are known only as nameless ghouls. Although the band draws a lot of attention for its style and costumes, their music is what really propels the fandom. They have a sound inspired by the originators of heavy metal in the 60’s. The guitars jam and the vocals evoke a sense of rebellion against conformity. Take a listen to the songs “Cirice” and “From the Pinnacle to the Pit” from their latest album “Meliora” below.

They got you hyped to jam with Ghost didn’t they? The Fillmore should have a perfect pit set up for concert goers. You’ll be able to see Ghost up close and personal, you might even be lucky enough to be right in front of the stage. If you want to hear some music that hearkens back to metal’s golden age, but with a great personality of it’s own, than this Ghost concert should be for you.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
